St James Park is the oldest of the royal parks. It contains both The Mall and Horse Guards Parade.
Dont miss the pelicans, they are fed daily at 2.30-3pm. There is also a childrens playground. Venue for the Beating of the Retreat and The Trooping of the Colour (not free).
